What We Do

The majority of bridges worldwide have been constructed more than 70 years ago. Furthermore the traffic nature is constantly changing substantially by huge increases in traffic, load, speed, and pollution. The combination of the said parameters demands more frequent and detailed inspections and maintenance of Bridges and Structures.

Current Bridge inspection systems are essentially based on reports and photos drafted by technicians, who base their findings on their visual inspection and the acquisition of digital images and data of the infrastructure as this is gathered during on-site visits. The process is costly, due to sheer size of most bridge structures, time taking, and requires a lot of expertise to interpret correctly and to investigate the information from images.

With our vision of the future and consideration of current requirements and technology, we have developed a system based on Reality Capture Technology, which inspects safely and reports accurately and cost-effectively the condition of Bridges and Structures of all sizes and types.

Our Inspection System TG-UP1 (???) is based on Unmanaged Photogrammetry using UAV Photos and LiDAR technology (3D Laser Scanning), and the production of accurate and high resolution 3D models of Bridges and Structures. UAV’s are shaping the future of bridge and structure inspection and rehabilitation.  Our drones are capable of collecting far more and more detailed inspection data compared to the traditional methods and  at much greater savings in costs.  Moreover, all our work can be carried out without interfering with traffic.

We are using cloud technology to enable access to shared 3D models and photos from the entire team with minimal management time and effort.

Our tools provide a 3D environment in order to visualize and analyze bridge structure using high resolution georeferenced 3D models with colorized point clouds and panoramic images.

What We Detect

3D visual inspection and analysis of Reality Capture models,  which give a footprint of the bridge at a specific time and can easily and accurately provide information about physical damage to the bridge structure including :

  • surface erosion,
  • concrete deterioration, delamination and debonding
  • locate and monitor crack progression
  • bearing condition and damages

Our industry leading  team accurately checks the health status of any Bridge or Structure and locates and classifies any potential defect from a library of fault categories at:

  • Substructures
  • Culverts
  • Joints
  • Wearing Surfaces
  • Approach Slabs

The inspection results are measurable and geolocated on the 3D model using local or global 3D coordinates or bridge chainage.
